To celebrate the International Day for Tolerance on the 16th of November, we here at the Maidla Primary School finished
the summer project “Tolerance Through English 2016”.

Students from the Maidla Primary School and the Kohtla-Järve Kesklinna Primary School shared experiences with their fellow students. Among the discussed topics were learnt subjects, self-development, the changing understanding of tolerance, and what they did or didn’t enjoy about the project.

The students’ discussion was followed by a lecture on Greece and tolerance read by Yiorgos Spanos and Niki Savvidou.

One thing is for certain: the project was of great use. The students’ language skills were improved and their worldview was widened. When asked, all the participants claimed eagerly that they would return to the camp in a heartbeat.
